Difficulty level tailoring notes


  • Beginner learners: For students with emerging emotional vocabulary, offer sentence frames (“When someone is sad, I can…”) and model robot responses. Use emoji cards to support understanding.
  • Advanced learners: Encourage students to recognise more subtle emotional cues and think about how the robot should respond. Make the robot’s response more complex and articulate.
  • Expert learners: Add complexity with mixed-emotion situations (e.g., nervous and excited) or invite them to design a robot that can learn from interactions.
