Notes on Research-based approach and integration

The STEAM-day was designed following a research-based pedagogical approach that supports experiential, active learning as well as the emotional and social development of students. The program is grounded in the principles of experiential learning, providing opportunities for children to experiment, make mistakes, and seek new solutions within playful and safe settings. The four phases are structured so that the learning process becomes tangible through a story, while various disciplines – science, technology, mathematics, arts, and movement – naturally interconnect. This integrated approach not only imparts subject knowledge but also fosters creativity, problem-solving thinking, collaboration, and flexibility. Drama play, obstacle courses, artistic creation, and story processing all contribute to students discovering the world – and themselves – through shared, reflective, and meaningful experiences.
