    1. Mari’s Story

    Short narrative about “Mari the Little Scientist,” exploring the mystery of rainbows. Available in illustrated A4 format or digital version for projection. Can also be presented with puppets or through drama.

    “Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Mari who loved asking questions. Not a day went by without her looking up at the sky, listening to the rain, or playing with a glass of water in the sunlight. One day, a rainbow appeared in the sky. Mari stopped, looked up, and said: ‘How do those colours get there? Why does the rainbow appear only when it rains and the sun is shining?’ Other children ran ahead, but Mari stood still, watching. Then she decided: she would find out! She would become a scientist—someone who doesn’t just look at the world but asks questions and does experiments. That’s how Mari’s journey began into the mysterious world of light and water…”

    1. Experiment Station Instruction Cards

    Each station has a visual instruction sheet with simple icons and steps (e.g., water, mirror, arrow), making them suitable even for students who can’t yet read independently.

    1. Observation Worksheet (Drawing + Text Versions)

    Space for students to record their findings during each experiment: drawing and short sentences like “I observed…”, “We used…”. A differentiated version may include pictograms or image choices.

    1. Rainbow Creation Template

    Pre-drawn arc templates for beginners; blank A4 sheets for advanced students. Title suggestion: “This is how a rainbow is born!”

    1. Student Reflection Sheet (Yes/No answers with pictograms):

    Questions include:

    • I observed how light changes.
    • I drew a rainbow.
    • I took part in the experiment.
    • I asked at least one question.

    Can also be completed verbally with teacher support.

    Includes step-by-step experimental instructions, alternative setups (e.g., for poor lighting or limited time), differentiation strategies, pre-written guiding questions, possible answers, and assessment tools (oral, visual, group).

    1. Class Poster Template – “Explorer Wall”

    Large A3 or A2 paper for creating a collaborative rainbow poster with everyone’s artwork. Suggested central title: “This is how a rainbow is born – we tried it ourselves!” Used for closure and group reflection on the experience
